  • Everyone is happy to be back together on the first day of Waterlilies 2017!

Waterlilies 2022

Once again, this VERY popular program helping women learn to sail (and race) in a relaxed environment is on our QYC calendar for this coming summer.Classes are scheduled for Friday mornings from 9:30 to 11:45, on the following dates:July 1st, 8th, 15th, 22th, August 5th & Aug. 12th. We will meet on the Harbor House deck, as usual. We request a donation from each participating Waterlilies student: QYC Members, $200 and Non-Members, $300.

We welcome as many (fully vaccinated) sailors to join the fun as space allows. This year we are implementing a two-step process to manage the size of the class. After accepting QYC members, we will give priority to non-members who are new to the program or have participated for no more than 2 years. "Regulars" are encouraged to pursue membership in the club. (See the membership tab, above. We can help you with that.)

Please follow this procedure once registration opens:

  1. All interested QYC members please email Ali Rodin by May 1st at: alirodin@gmail.com and send in your check to reserve your spot.
  2. Non-members interested in registering should email alirodin@gmail.com, before sending in a check. Once we know the number of members registered, we will open the remaining spots for registration to non-members. (When non-members hear from us that you have a spot, you can send in a check to confirm your registration.)

Safety Information: Bring a Coast Guard approved life jacket, sun screen, cell phone, water and a hat. Life jackets are required for all participants when on the water.

Thank you to all our experienced volunteer instructors who share their time, boats, and love of sailing with us; without you this program could not happen. Also, sign up if you can ferry students to their sailboats and act as a chase boat.

Keep an eye out for Waterlilies email blasts coming soon!!
