The H Class fleet of the QYC would like to welcome all H Class sailors to the 2016 regatta. We want you to enjoy your on-the-water and off-the-water time with us!

The NOR will be published shortly on the H Class Association website and the QYC website. We also will have this year’s clothing available via Team One Newport. If you sign up early, for a few more dollars, you may add your sail number and/or your boat name to the shirt.

When you sign up for the regatta, please let us know in advance if you have food allergies, gluten sensitivity, etc. We will do everything we can to accommodate your needs. We will require sign ups for meals two weeks in advance to organize the caterer for Saturday night dinner as well as special food requirements for lunches. Lunches will be eaten ashore, and may be picked up at the tent, after the morning races. Those of you who plan on leaving for your home port right after you cross the finish line on Sunday will want to provide your own lunch for that day. If you need rides to and from the ferries or the Falmouth bus, please let us know. Do you need housing? Let me know; we have many members offering to host visitors.

We will have power boats standing by Thursday and Friday to escort racers into Quissett Harbor and to guest moorings well inshore. Visiting racers will be provided moorings, but please email Weatherly and Rick Dorris at the Quissett Harbor Boatyard (quissett@cape.com) and cc me (creinisc@mbl.com) well ahead of time so that we may plan accordingly. Other boats visiting will need to rent a mooring on a first come first served basis. For on the water communication with the boatyard, please use VHF channel 9. Questions? Call me on my cell: 508-564-0031. Parking will be available throughout the regatta. You will be directed to specific areas by QYC people.

For visitors who want to watch the racing from the shore, bring along binoculars, and make the short walk to the “Knob” where the racing can readily be seen.

We look forward to welcoming you all in a couple of months!

Carol Suitor, Regatta Chair
